Route 106 (市道106號) connects downtown Linkou and Xiafu village.
Linkou District (Chinese: 林口區) is a district in the western part of New Taipei in northern Taiwan. It is one of early example of planned community in Taiwan. During the World War II, it was used by the Japanese Armed Forces as a supply air base to support Taipei Air Base. After that, from 1955 to 1977, the US military used it a radio base stationing 6987th Security Group of US Air Force to detect initial threat from the People's Republic of China.
The bus stop is a local bus stop that somehow attract my attention the first time I bike through this route a few years ago.
It is recommended to take 106 route if you go there by bicycle. Route 77-1 seems not suitable for biking.
