Attwill's Almshouses are a Grade II listed building on New North Road. The 24 dwellings were built in three blocks in 1839 on an ancient foundation and are in the Gabled Tudor style. They are built from coursed rubble with freestone dressings and have slate rooves. The front wall of the Almshouses is a listed structure in its own right. They are named after Lawrence Attwill who left around 320 acres of land to the Corporation of Exeter in 1588.
