A small series which takes in a lovely walk around a local beauty spot. Listerdale woods has long been a favourite of adults and children for many generations.
This second is a little deeper into the woods in amongst the large blocks of local sandstone. Most of which have been quarried in this wood and some do still bear tool marks if you look closely. My own ancestors used to have quarries in and around this area.
If you come accross a large hole or dip you can be sure that this is what it used to be.
This cache was placed in its location as I was really taken by the natural phenomina that you'll see when you find it.
