This is our first event hosting and we are going to keep it short and simple. 😊 The event will be held at Gilbert Olson Park in Hallock, Mn. We will meet at the picnic shelter in the playground. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. If it's raining we will still plan to hold the event and do what we can. This is a popular spot in the summer for campers, swimmers, golfers and fishermen. We drove thru the park today and there doesn't seem to be a lot of trash but enough to keep us busy for an hour our less depending on the size of our group. If we have a large number we can split up and some of us can go to another park in town. The event will run from 11:00 to Noon when we would like to gather everyone together for a group picture. Bottled water and treats will be provided along with some "door prizes" for participants. We have permission from the city to gather in the park. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided in case you don't have you're own. The restrooms at the pool may or may not be open but there are plenty of places in town to go to if you need to. This is a fun way to meet up with fellow cachers, meet new ones, earn a souvenir and clean up Mother Earth. After the event you're welcome to stick around and visit, grab some caches in the area, go for lunch or enjoy the rest of the day however you choose. If we can get our act together there MAY be some new caches to find.😃
