Geocache Description:

This is my first geocache! Kudos to TwoKight, who helped me complete this!😄

Easter's Renewal takes you on a journey in history and down memory lane, through the Albany Creek Cemetery. This cemetery was founded in the 1870s and has major historical significance because of its age and association with many of the pioneering families of the area. Hilltop Historical Park in the top lefthand corner (on the hill) is home to the oldest plots including many members of the Eaton family. Sadly, many of the earliest burials were in unmarked graves and the precise location of some of the original plots are unknown but records show this is the final resting place of members of the oldest families who settled in the immediate vicinity including Cain, Cash, Cuthbert, Davis, Draper, Greensill, Hart, Kremzow, Leitch, Lemke, Mecklem and Mole. The location of the cache is near the 'exit experience sculptures' which is a lovely and calm spot where the birds fly overhead chirping happily.

Congratulations to ScattsMadhouse for FTF. The egg sculptures can be interpreted as representing renewal.

Enjoy the cache!
