[ENG] The nuraghe of Sarroch, called "Sa domu 'and s'orcu", ogre's home, a common name in many other parts of Sardinia, is a bi-lobed nuraghe situated on a 107 m hill, near the town of Sarroch in "Sa Punta". Nearby are some nuragic huts and a small menhir.
To get there follow the signs to the public park ("Parco Pubblico") and then follow the dirt road that branches off to the hill, walk straight for about 300 meters.
A view from outside does not make a great impression, but just go inside to completely change your mind. The rooms are majestic, the lintels small and stocky radiate the strength of the stone and you can breathe the scent of an ancient culture.
It takes just 5 minutes to reach the site by feet, 20 minutes to visit the nuraghe.
The cache is nearby, in a brown plastic jar under a small pile of stones ( "nur" is the root that means "bunch").

Dal sito nuragico si ammira il panorama fantastico del golfo e dell'insediamento industriale della raffineria Saras, e nelle giornate serene si può vedere da Cagliari sino a Villasimius.
[ITA] Il nuraghe di Sarroch, chiamato "Sa domu 'e s'orcu", cioè la casa dell'orco, nome comune in molte altre località della Sardegna, è un nuraghe bilobato situato sopra una collina a 107 m slm, vicino al paese di Sarroch, in località "Sa Punta". Nelle vicinanze si trovano alcune capanne nuragiche e un piccolo menhir.
Per raggiungerlo seguite le indicazioni per il parco pubblico e quindi seguite la strada sterrata che si diparte verso la collina, proseguendo a piedi per circa 300 metri.
A vederlo da fuori non fa una grande impressione, ma basta entrare dentro per cambiare completamente idea. Le camere sono maestose, gli architravi piccoli e tozzi sprigionano la forza della pietra e si respira il profumo di un popolo antico.
Per arrivare al sito a piedi bastano 5 minuti, per visitare il nuraghe bastano 20 minuti.
La cache si trova nelle vicinanze, in un barattolo di plastica marron, sotto un piccolo cumulo di pietre ("nur" è la radice che sta per "mucchio").
