Construction of the CPC garden actually took place over a decade ago.
The planning and building of the raised flower beds was the Eagle Scout project of a local Boy Scout.
As sometimes happens with projects, the garden’s maintenance fell by the way-side and the foliage on the premises overgrew into somewhat of an eyesore.
Fast forward to December 2016: A local Boy Scout, a member of Troop 270 in Thurmont, MD, overhauls the CPC prayer garden for his Eagle Scout project, securing new benches, spreading mulch, planting bulbs, and installing decorative landscape stones.
Weeds were pulled, statues were scrubbed, and trash and yard debris were thrown out by the bag loads!
Local businesses donated supplies and the Boy Scouts worked over 3 days’ time to restore the CPC Garden to its former beauty!
Hopefully as you search for the geocache host you will find this location to be as comfortable and beautiful as I do!
Thank you for visiting!
