This cache is being brought back to life. Originally called the "Callahan Creek Nature Trail" It was archive due to the owners getting on in years and unable to maintain. Its such a great place to visit that I asked the owners if I could bring it back. They agreed and its ready to find once again.
The old logging and mining railroad is a little over 2 miles long. It was used to bring logs and ore from 2 mines, the Big Eight and the Snowshoe, down the tracks to Troy. There are many interpretive signs and benches along the way. Park at the Trail Head (marked with sign) and pick up another cache, located on the way to this cache. Have fun and I hope you enjoy this beautiful area and the history along this trail. The cache is a ammo can.
