The Pass Col de Ouane (height about 2900 meters) connects the Dades valley with the Todra valley via a gravel road (R704). The R704 road branches off from the N10 in the lower Dades Valley near Boulmane and runs via Tamellalt and through the Dades Gorge to Agudal, where it meets the R703 and R317. In the lower part, behind Ait Moussa Wichou (as of April 2017), she is still tarred, or is paved again, afterwards she is only a gravel road to Agudal (about 45 km). In the upper part north of the pass I saw two restaurants, but I haven’t stopped. Behind Agudal, there is another restaurant on the R703, where I have lunch.
From my subjective assessment, the pass can be traveled with normal touring motorcycles, but the driver should be able to drive gravel roads. I drove the track 2 times from the Dades valley direction Todra valley. Apart from a short, rather steep climb on rough gravel at the beginning of the route (about 2 - 3 serpentines) there are no really difficult places. I had no problems on my Yamaha XT 1200 Supertenere.

This pass road deserves another cache. Here at the parking lot and the milestone is a great view in the Dades valley and across the mountain chain.
Because this cache can only be reached with a motorized vehicle and a demanding driveway, I set the terrain rating to 4. The cache itself is easy to reach from the waypoint. You are looking for a pettling. As there is hardly any other place to hide, it is only to look closely at the cairns.
Please take care that the locals do not observe you. There are already many caches in the Morocco disappeared, because the locals can simply use the containers well. A water-tight tin is a favorite present here.
So that the cache can still be active after looting, I would like to ask all cachers who want to log this cache here, but can not find the can, to give a hint. In this case, of course, I also accept a Fotolog. It would be particularly helpful if, after a loss, a cacher hides a new container (petling) at the coordinates. I did it myself 3 times on my trip through Morocco and hope that through the mutual support these caches will have a long life far from home.

Der Pass Col de Ouane (Höhe ca. 2900 Meter) verbindet über eine geschotterte Piste (R704) das DadesTal mit dem Todra-Tal. Die Strasse R704 zweigt im unteren Dades-Tal bei Boulmane von der N10 ab und verläuft über Tamellalt und durch die Dades-Schlucht bis nach Agudal, wo sie auf die R703 und R317 stößt. Im unteren Teil bis hinter Ait Moussa Wichou (Stand April 2017) ist sie noch geteert, bzw. wird neu geteert, danach ist sie nur noch eine Schotterpiste bis nach Agudal (ca. 45 km). Im oberen Teil nördlich des Passes habe ich zwei Restaurants gesehen, aber nicht angehalten. Hinter Agudal gibt es an der R703 ein weiteres Restaurant, in dem ich selber eine Mittagspause gemacht habe.
Aus meiner subjektiven Einschätzung heraus lässt sich der Pass mit normalen Tourenmotorrädern befahren, der Fahrer sollte aber Schotterpisten fahren können. Ich bin die Strecke 2 Mal aus dem Dades-Tal kommend Richtung Todra-Tal gefahren. Bis auf einen kurzen, etwas steilen Anstieg auf groben Schotter am Anfang der Strecke (ca. 2 – 3 Serpentinen) gibt es keine wirklich schwierigen Stellen. Ich hatte auf meiner Yamaha XT 1200 Supertenere keine Probleme.

Diese Passtrasse verdient einen weiteren Cache. Hier am Parkplatz und am Meilenstein ist ein toller Ausblick in das Dades-Tal und über die Gebirgskette.
Da dieser Cache nur mit einem motorisierten Fahrzeug und einer anspruchsvollen Anfahrt zu erreichen ist, setze ich die Terrainwertung auf 4. Der Cache selber ist vom Wegpunkt aus leicht zu erreichen. Ihr sucht ein Petling. Da es hier kaum eine andere Versteckmöglichkeit gibt, bleibt nur, sich die Steinhaufen genau anzuschauen.
Bitte achtet darauf, dass Euch die Einheimischen nicht beobachten. Es sind schon viele Caches im Marroko verschwunden, weil die Einheimischen die Behälter einfach gut gebrauchen können. Eine wasserdichte Dose ist hier oben ein gern genommenes Geschenk.
Damit der Cache auch nach einer Plünderung weiter aktiv sein kann, möchte ich alle Cacher, die diesen Cache hier loggen wollen, aber die Dose nicht finden können, bitten, mir einen Hinweis zu geben. In diesem Fall akzeptiere ich natürlich auch ein Fotolog. Besonders hilfreich wäre es, wenn nach einem Verlust ein Cacher eine neue Dose an den Koordinaten versteckt. Ich habe das selber 3 Mal auf meiner Reise durch Marroko gemacht und hoffe, dass durch die gegenseitige Unterstützung diese Caches fernab der Heimat ein langes Leben haben werden.
