This cache was published in conjunction with GC72KJ5, the Miami Valley Caching Conundrum #36, hosted by VPPlayer. Special thanks to boxen-hunters for checking the puzzle and reining in the insanity.
During April 2017, Geocaching awarded a souvenir for anyone attending an event during the German "geo-holiday" known as Dönerstag. This just happened to coincide with the 36th monthly Miami Valley Caching Conundrum, so that event (and this cache) were themed appropriately. Since Dönerstag means Sudoku in German, the puzzle will be...wait, what? That's not what it means? But...but...okay, whatever, I went to all this trouble to make the puzzle so were going with it anyway, got that? Right.
So, anyhow, you'll need to solve the sudoku puzzle below to get the coordinates. For extra fun all the digits have been replaced with German icons. Once you have the solution, you need to convert the center boxes of each of the 9 sub-grids into the final location somehow. This part should be a lot easier than the puzzle, assuming you don't cheat by using an online solver.
Here's your puzzle...GO!
Use of the geochecker is almost but not quite strictly verboten!
