This Geocache is being hid off the Salamander / Logging Trail for the 10th Anniversary of NEPAG celebration and in honor of Geodogs. The very first NEPAG event was held at Moon Lake Park. This is an amazing place to hike, mountain bike, fish, walk dogs and just have fun!
Moon Lake Park and Luzerne County are great supporters of Geocaching and NEPAG. Their wishes are to see many Quality Geocaches throughout Moon Lake for the enjoyment of all.

The trail near the GZ area could be slippery in wet conditions and is rated a 3.5 due to the elevation.
Long ago this area was used more often, especially by mountain bikers, however, nowadays this portion of the Park is not often traversed and portions of the trail are overgrown.
We highly suggest waymarking your car.
By placing several geocaches in this area we hope the backside trails become used more often.
