Przy ul. Witolda Chodźki znajduje się ponad dwumetrowy granitowy głaz upamiętniają dwie egzekucje, które odbyły się 6 i 7 stycznia 1940. W ich trakcie zginęło ok. 100 więźniów zamku lubelskiego. W źródłach znalazłem informację, że udało się ustalić tożsamość zaledwie 31 osób.
Pomnik, którego autorem jest Tadeusz Skwarczyński to wspomniany już granitowy głaz, na którym od frontu wyryto napis: MIEJSCE / UŚWIĘCONE / KRWIĄ POLAKÓW / WIĘŹNIÓW / ZAMKU / LUBELSKIEGO / ROZSTRZELANYCH / PRZEZ / HITLEROWSKIEGO / OKUPANTA / W LATACH / 1939 – 1944. Z lewej strony głazu wyryto zarys orła. Pomnik odsłonięto w 1978.
Kesz (typu bison tube) ukryty w okolicy pomnika. Miejsce bardzo uczęszczane, zalecane szukanie wczesnym rankiem, późnym wieczorem lub bycie ninja. Uważaj jak odkładasz, żeby nie spadł.
At Chodźki street there is an over 2 meters high stone commemorating the victims of Nazis, who were shot here on 6th and 7th of January, 1940. On those two days about 100 prisoners from Lublin castle were shot there. As far as I've found out, only 31 persons were later identified.
The stone itself was erected in 1978 and is the work of Tadeusz Skwarczynski.
The cache is a bison tube, placed in the vincinity of the monument. The place itelf is pretty muggled, so I highly reccomend to look for the cache in the wee hours of the morning or late in the evening. Or being a ninja, it's you to choose ;-)
