To open this gadget cache and claim your find you'll need to know The Code. The Code is widely known, in fact it's been around for over 30 years and even very young children may know it by heart. It's powers are legendary. Some of the things attributed to The Code include:
- Replenishing ones energy
- Granting innumerable extra lives (though typically 30)
- Unlocking the full power of your vehicle
While The Code is well known, and quite common it is also long, consisting of ten key presses (not counting start) by using three (some would argue six) distinct keys. The hardest part about The Code would be entering it in a timely fashion, fortunately that will not be a problem. Entering The Code can be done as slowly and as methodically as you'd like. In fact entering the code at more methodical pace will allow for greater success in claiming the cache.
It's recommended you confirm the exact combination of presses for the code before attempting the cache, or have a cell phone with internet access available. Many will immediately know of The Code, but overtime the exact combination of presses required may become muddled in your memory.
Once you've successfully entered the code, pressing the start button will check to see if you are correct. If you've entered the code correctly you'll see a flashing light and then hear a small motor whir and the cache will be yours to claim. Make sure to close the inner container lid and engage the lock again by pressing select when you're done, and as always re-hide as found if not better.
Additional Pro-Tips
- Make sure your battery pack is charged or the unlock servo may not spin even though the lights work.
- Be Careful not to re-engage the lock after you open the cache or you'll have to re-enter The Code again to unlock it when you close the lid.
- Press gently on the cache containers inner lid when locking / unlocking the cache to make sure swag doesn't press it out and jam the servo.
- Make sure your power bank / battery supplies at least 1A (AMP) of power to guarantee opening.
