I've always liked this patch of woods, but it gives lots of folks the creeps even during the day, and I'd be willing to bet that few cachers (if any) have been through it at night. Visions of being hacked to bits by a guy in a hockey mask are the kinds of things that would quickly jump into ones imagination in here. Anyway, now is your opportunity to check it out and test yourself to find where exactly your personal creepy threshhold is.
There are two parking waypoints listed, but you'll see that there are other parking options in the area. Wherever you park, to start your journey, go to posted coordinates, turn on your flashlight, and look in the northern direction for the first fire tack. (All the fire tacks are about 6 - 7 feet high, placed every 15 - 25 feet apart or so.) Once you find the first fire tack, just keep following the single fire tacks until you come to a cluster of 4 fire tacks arranged in a diamond pattern. There you will find the final container. Once you find the final container, there's still a bit more work to be done (but no special tools are required). It shouldn't take you long, but you might want to look over your shoulder every few seconds to make sure nothing is sneaking up behind you.
Once you have completed your mission, continue to follow the fire tacks out of the woods (don't go back the way you came, or you may not be heard from again). Have fun out there. I'll be listening for the screams...:>)
