Lon Eifion Cycle Path

This splendid 12.5 mile cycling and walking trail runs along a disused railway path from Caernarfon to Bryncir on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. It's a good surfaced traffic free path making it ideal for a safe family cycle or a leisurely walk. There are lovely views of the surrounding Welsh Countryside and mountains such as Yr Eifl (or the Rivals) and Snowdon. The route runs alongside the Welsh Highland Railway so you should also see some wonderful steam trains as you go.
The route starts at Caernarfon at the impressive Caernarfon Castle, and heads south through the town, crossing the River Seiont on the way. You continue to Llanwnda and Groeslon where you pass the lovely Glynllifon Country Park. The route continues through Penygroes before the final stretch takes you to the finish point at the little village of Bryncir.

Litter Pick

Our task for the day will be to pick up as much litter as possible along the cycle path from the Inigo Jones Slate Works to LLanwnda. (We will be continuing from where we finished at the last CITO)

Gwynedd Council Tidy Towns Scheme will be supplying litter pickers but please bring your own gloves.

As with any Geocaching activity you carry out this event within your own capabilities and at your own risk.

We would like to thank Inigo Jones Slateworks, Groeslon for giving us permission to use their car park and Gwynedd Council for supporting this Event.

Llwybr beic Lôn Eifion

Mae'r llwybr beic a cherdded bendigedig yma yn ymestyn 12.5 milltir ar hyd yr hen lwybr y trên rhwng Caernarfon a Bryncir wrth ymyl Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri. Gyda llawr da, a ddim traffig, mae o'n llwybr gwych i deuluoedd i fynd ar ei beic neu gerdded. Mae yna olygfeydd godidog o gefn gwlad Cymru a mynyddoedd megis Yr Eifl (neu) a Wyddfa. Mae'r llwybr yn rhedeg wrth ymyl y Welsh Highland Railway felly dylia chi weld amryw o drenau stêm ar eich taith.
Mae'r daith yn cychwyn yn Caernarfon yn y castell, ac yn mynd tua'r de trwy'r dref, gan croesi afon Seiont ar y ffordd. Rydych yn cadw fynd tuag at Llanwnda a Groeslon, lle rydych chi yn mynd heibio Glynllifon. Mae'r llwybr yn mynd trwy Penygroes cyn cyrraedd y diwedd yn bentref Bryncir.

Codi Sbwriel

Ein tasg ar y diwrnod bydd i godi gymaint o sbwriel a sydd bosib ar hyd y llwybr beic rhwng Ingo Jones â Lanwnda (byddwn ni yn cychwyn o lle natho ni orffen y tro dwethaf)

Y mae Gwynedd Council Tidy Towns Scheme yn darparu codwyr sbwriel, ond mae angen i chi ddod a menyg eich hun.

Fel bob digwyddiad Geocaching, rydych chi yn ei wneud i'ch gallu a risg eich hun..

Hoffem ddiolch i Inigo Jones Slateworks, Groeslon am rhoi caniatad i ddefnyddio ei maes parcio ar gyfer y digwyddiad ac i Gyngor Gwynedd am helpu.
