Una de las plazas más importantes de la ciudad es el Jardín de la Unión. Se encuentra enfrente de la iglesia de San Diego y el teatro Juárez, rodeado de cafés y restaurantes. Tiene una forma triangular que originalmente era el atrio de la iglesia, siendo el centro de reunión de la ciudad y donde dan inicio las callejoneadas.
