GHS Letterbox Hybrid

This is letterbox cache, with a stamp in the cache ----please leave it in...    You will need a compass or a GPS that has "sight & go" ability...

This cache is hidden somewhere around the outline of what is left of Grayville High school, where I attended and graduated from when growing up in Grayville...My mother graduated from there, too...along with many other relatives and friends...      We had many fun years there... 

The school was built in 1911 and this was engraved across the entrance..  

It was closed in 1992, with the students moving to the Grayville Jr. High School, with name changed to Grayville Jr. Senior High School... The old school was planned for business use, but never panned out... Then was severly damaged during bad storms..... In 2013 it was set on fire by arsonists... after this the city had it demonished...
Today only its outline remains...

To find the cache, follow the steps below...  

The above coordinates will take you to where the Bison sat, now is just a divot in the blacktop..

With your back to this area,

...travel @60 feet at 18 degrees...

This will take you to where the front steps were....when you entered the school, there was a center set of wide steps that went to main floor, and steps on each side of these that went to the basement and other classrooms..

From here

...travel @142 feet at 358 degrees...

Next

turn right and walk @25 feet...stop

You should be standing at top of concrete steps that used to enter the gym...Now look down to your right.. should see hiding spot...
