Cairn "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" Traditional Cache

Cairn Definition: A stack of stones set up as a landmark or monument honoring a significant occasion.

"Not All Who Wander Are Lost" is a series of caches that may be out of the way but should be worth the trip. The caches in the series require you to explore locations after the pavement ends. Many of the caches have unique containers, high rated terrain, and not your typical attributes.

On 5/2/2017 geocaching offered a Big Blue Switch souvenir to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the birth of Geocaching. To earn the souvenir I hiked down Rim Rock Trail and found GCVEGP. On the way back I hid a cache in the rocks along the bluff not far from the trail. I stacked a Cairn at GZ as a monument to Geocaching and to help cachers locate the ammo can (doesn't everyone hike with an empty ammo can just in case there is a place to hide a cache).

I provided waypoints for parking and trailhead. There are bathrooms near the trailhead. The trail leads in the opposite direction of the cache but it circles back towards GZ below the bluff. The cache is located about 10 yards off the trail, no serious bushwhacking is required. While hiking the trail I saw some deer and a turtle, keep your eye out for wildlife. There may be a fee to enter the park.

The tree cover and terrain may cause some issues getting a good GPS signal so I provided a spoiler picture. Please take time to re-hide the ammo can so the next cacher can enjoy the hunt.
