Cache placed at the bench above Granite Falls in Forest Park
Granite Falls Trail is a spur trial off of the Halls of Manzanita trail in Forest Park. Park at the quarry (P-4) near the lower right (East) start to the Halls of Manzanita Trail. You can pick up a map of the trails at the main parking lot. The Granite Falls trail comes off the Halls of Manzanita Trail about where the Pipsissewa Trail is shown on the map. The Pipsissewa trail is not yet completed. It is about 1.25 mile round trip. Mostly up hill going, down hill returning. For bonus points, describe or take a picture with the metal ornament hanging from one of the trees on the way to the falls. The falls still have water at this time although only half the volume of earlier in the year. They will probably be dry by July. It is one of the lovliest places in Forest Park right now with all the wild flowers in bloom.
