This is a neat little neighborhood park we discovered simply by studying our city maps. The city sows wildflower seeds here, so I bet it's just beautiful in the spring; there are lots of summer flowers poking their heads up right now, and some kind of heavenly-smelling mimosa is blooming at present (July).
The cache is hidden between two trails that are pretty close together, so you will need to be discreet at the site. You may wish to walk across the trail to the south (to a more secluded area) to log your find, if there are people in the park. The walk is short and flat; just about anyone should be able to negotiate it. Watch for abundant cacti and occasional three-leafs. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIFT ANYTHING HEAVY TO ACCESS THIS CACHE! If you think you do, check for another way.
The cache was ransacked in April 2003 and I replaced it on May 7. PLEASE LEAVE THE CACHE AREA WHILE LOGGING. This will keep it intact for a longer time period. There is not much cover on the trails so it gets pretty hot; bring a bottle of water. There is a nice playscape with a nearby shaded picnic table, and a covered pavilion for groups. Have fun!
