Geocache Description:


This is a standalone Cache in a series of 3 around Pleck Park that can be done in any order.

Pleck is in the borough of Walsall. It and stretches from the bridge on Wednesbury Road to Junction 9 of the M6 motorway. It consists of a large green space called Pleck Park and housing estates. Pleck is very close to Walsall Manor Hospital & Bescot Stadium (Walsall F.C). Pleck is also close to Wednesbury, Darlaston, Caldmore, Palfrey, Bescot and M6 J9 (Wednesbury-Walsall A461) The population of this Walsall ward, taken at the 2011 Census was 15,014.

Pleck Park Occupies part of the site of the old Bescot Hall. The hall was demolished 1929-30 and the park laid out in its grounds in 1926, being extended in 1938. 

Facilities include:

Play Area (under 12’s), Tennis Courts, Bowls, Football pitches, All Weather Cricket Pitch, Basket Ball Court, Trim Trail and a BMX trail.

There is a small car park and plenty free street level parking around the park.

This is a busy park around school holidays and on hot sunny days so watch out muggle dog walkers and kids.
