- Gloves (rubber or garden gloves that you might want to throw away once done)
- Something to drink - There is drinking water available on site (Bring along your own well-stocked Cooler Box if you like)
- Sunblock, hat, sunglasses, etc - Going to be in the sun, so protect yourself from the sun well.

Scouting was started in 1907 by Lord Robert Baden-Powell. His vision was to create a better world. Scouting combines adventure with solid values that inspire you to leave the world a little better than you found it. B-P developed the Scout Promise and Law that Scouts still live by today.
Geocaching has a pretty similar philosophy and by means of a CITO we get to "leave the world a little better than you found it".
The 1st Walmer Scout Group has been inspiring young lives for 75 of the 110 years that Scouts have been in existence. The technology and basics of Geocaching are taught to the scouts and form an important part of the training they receive for map-reading, hiking, backwoodsmanship, etc.
The Scouts have an ongoing problem with littering on their property. The school next door is a constant source of littler which blows across the property.
Illegal dumping and wandering vagrants also leave their mark.
We have been able to hire the Hall for our Annual Awards Event for almost nothing and this is the least we, as Geocachers, can do to show our appreciation.
