Back in Omaha, when I first started caching, I noticed many geo-events were planned either for daytime or early weekend mornings, which didn’t really work well for me. This past fall, my BCB (Best Caching Buddy) and I started planning happy hour geocaching events, usually honoring some weird holiday (International Hobby Day, Bad Poetry Day, etc.) In March, we even planned a Friday night geo-pub crawl for our geocaching friends - Fun! I knew I’d be in Phoenix visiting family over Memorial Day weekend and noticed there didn’t seem to be any geo-events planned for that time, so I decided to plan one myself. Do Phoenix-area geocachers like to happy hour? We shall see! I’m collecting TB’s to bring with me to AZ, and if you have some you’d like to send with me back to NE, I’d love to take them! (I’m working on a TB challenge, so the more TB’s I can discover/move, the better!) I look forward to meeting some Arizona cachers!
