Going, Going, Gone! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ACME_WildCachers: Just short of two years in play, I'm going to archive this one. The changes at GZ would lower the difficulty if I placed a new container using the original style, so I'm going to change it up and place a new cache instead. Stay tuned!

Geocache Description:

Elver Park is larger than some people probably realize, offering fields and facilities for many activities at all times of year. From basketball, a splash park, and disc golf, to ice skating, cross country-skiing, and sledding. But by far my favorite way to spend time here has got to be playing softball!

Softball was invented in Chicago in 1887 as an indoor game, but a lot has changed since then. The game has moved outdoors and the ball is no longer soft. I tend to think of slow pitch softball as an excuse for adults to run around and act like kids again. I highly recommend it!

The cache is available between the hours of 4am-10pm seven days a week. Muggle activity in Elver Park is highly variable depending on the weather and the time of day. I would not recommend seeking the cache on weekday evenings between May and August. When the fields are in playable condition, there will almost certainly be a game under way.
