WWFM History: Cachers Sonny and Sandy came up with the WWFM idea in 2007 after attending a mega-event. It was meant to be a fun “opposite” of a mega-event: all the cool aspects of a geocaching event, crammed into 30 minutes of excitement. An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW" - World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day at (mostly) the same time! These caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.
Try not to be late. The Mrs. is from Hawaii and often runs on what is known as ‘Hawaiian Time’ which is a casual attitude towards matters of punctuality. It references a commonly held perception of life in Hawaii being inherently relaxed but actually the reason is that historically the Hawaiians used the sun for keeping track of time which isn't particularly precise. The highly contextual language has many time-related terms for time. For example, simply stating ‘afternoon’ without the appropriate context will span any time between noon and nightfall. There are often also multiple terms for what might seem to an outsider to be the same time of day.

There will be a small enamel circular souvenir for the first 19 in attendance.
To add to the fun, wear your craziest watch or other time keeping device! There will be a geocoin for the holder of the timepiece that appeals to the COs love of history, geekdom, and tech the most.
Sadly, GCHQ has decided not to offer a Souvenir for WWFM anymore. :(
