This will be the "summary" page for the Mask series so please just read through all this Mumbo Jumbo 1 time now and any updates in red above just before you head out.

These 124 Caches cover 2 States and 4 counties ( Berkshire, Franklin, Bennington, and Windham) and have been averaging 7.5hr +/- to complete with a driver and a jumper

In no particular order, here are some notes..

* use Bug and Tick spray

* PLEASE DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN covers! slightly snug is plenty waterproof if the cover is up ( covers have been overtightened and cracked)

* Post Notes/Comments/Maintanence/Favorite Points/Photos/ect either here (Mask 001) or Mask 040 (where most will end the series) - I will be closely watching those 2 pages and rarely checking the others

*  These caches are in a very freindy, and curious community. When a car passes, just give a small casual wave and they usually wave back and continue on. While placing these I did have a few stop and ask "are you lost", "do you need help", and "what did you loose" I found when I waved they just continued on.

* There is NO cell coverage. ( ok, I got 1 bar once in a great while) so load up the GPS ahead of time.

* Caches are in no specific order, they jump all over the place

* There is No Food, Drinks, or Gas nearby, so make sure you are loaded up on that also. North Adams would be the closest reliable, Readsboro has a general store and gas pumps but i'm not sure of thier hours /p>

* These caches are not "hidden" I placed them to be found but out of site from the road as much as possible. None are on the ground. Almost everyone is between 2-5 feet high. That being said these are NOT winter friendly. The snow in this area is usually much deeper than the surrounding areas and a lot of the roads are closed/not maintained in the winter.

* Most containers are Speciman containers in conifers. Please do not remove the containers or bend the wires. Just unscrew the lid. To prevent cross threading when replacing the lid, turn it counter clockwise as if removing until you feel the "click" then clockwise to tighten ( dont over tighten) - caps should always be "up"- not down or on side.

* Do NOT believe your maps. there are many roads that show on maps and either are dead ends or simply dont exist . If a road looks like it loops and there are no caches in the middle then it probably does not loop. Always be prepared to back track. a few I made notes in the hints to "turn around here" that is to keep you from using/disturbing a resident just up the road.

* most roads are paved or hard packed dirt. A couple are short runs down one lane wide roads with minor rocks. I had no problem on any of these roads with my 2003 Camry (Not 4wd) . you should be comfortable doing 3 or 5 or 20 point turns on narrow roads ( remember no cell coverage!)

* use Bug and Tick spray

* caches are placed close to the roads but may require a jump over a culvert or up a 8' bank. The T rating is therefore just an average of all of them

* spoiler Photos / comments ARE welcome

* "left" and  "right" hints are when viewed from the road

* if it has rained, expect MUD

* Did I mention  - use Bug and Tick spray??
