Geocache Description:

A good geocache for families walking on Duck Island in Warriors Path State Park.

Duck Island sits within TVA Fort Patrick Henry Lake.  The paved loop walking path on Duck Island is enjoyed by many area residents and park visitors for a stroll or taking dogs out for exercise.  The footpaths also traverse across the hilltop with less crowds.

This geocache is hidden in plain sight. There is no lock associated with its container.  Please use common sense when searching. The 3.5"x6.5" container. Its initial swag was small children’s items from Bays Mtn Park gift shop, coupons for other family exploration adventures in the region, and a CITO bag. Unfortunately, per the earliest logs, the container was immediately stolen. We'll try again.

Tennessee State Park Geocache Placement application on file and approved by Possumcop, the local ranger. Popularity with the public has allowed this placement to continue through 2018 and into 2019. Come and enjoy.

Unfortunately, vandals are stealing the geocache container, even if 88Lb of railroad track, thus please do not leave any travel bugs to avoid having them disappear. Maybe someday the thief might grow up to really serve the community.
