Geocache Description:

At the border of Parc regional de Vecors. Altitude 1666m. You shouldn't have fear of heights!

When you will reach this cache from the west side you should be an experienced alpinist with good gear! But if you reach the cache from the east side you can walk an 'easy' path. This mountain-walk will give you beautiful views on the snow covered alps at the east side. We met a Deer and a Marmotte an of course 'de Vautour des Alpes'. When we hid the cache we walked in 2 hours to the stash, with our two children (7 and 9). On the stash you will have a marvelous view on cirque d' Archiane.

Warning:
Please use a goood map if visiting this cache!
Oh and if you feel not sure to manage on great heights, don't do it or you will be a 'curée de Vautours' yourself! Or take a rope with you, to secure yourself (only for the cache site itself). However my childeren and I are used to walking in the mountains and we hid the cache without using ropes. But take care of your self!

A tip:
visit also the waterfalls at the north west side of the cache (use another route).

For the time being I made some digital pictures from viewing my slides. The quality is not very good, but it's better than nothing. I hope to scan my slides soon for a better quality.
