A Treasure Coast Treasure Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

FLorida4ce: I never wanted to quit on this one. The treasure chest kept disappearing and I refused to give up and then construction around the area delayed the reactivating of this multi-cache. After starting the new treasure chest I just keep having flashbacks of all the ones I have built for this, my first and favorite hide, and decided that I'm done fighting to keep it alive. It had a very good run and wonderful responses from the cachers that found it and used the treasure map I created to lead to the look out point. I love all of the photos!

Geocache Description:

MY FIRST CACHE HIDE is a multicache with a treasure chest with maps in it that will lead you to the final stage (STOLEN several times so for now a bison tube with a log to sign) Sometimes crowded with castaway muggles be sure to take a map to follow (if there are no maps there's one in the gallery here for you to follow). Sign log at MESSAGE in a BOTTLE final stage thus proving that you visited both.(FOR NOW JUST A BISON TUBE WITH LOG TO SIGN)

NOTE: Handmade Treausre chest with handmade maps stolen several times despite being well covered and even recessed in the ground a time or two so for now just a bison tube with a log to sign. Maps are only available here in the gallery. Message in a bottle stage muggled repeatedly too so it is also a bison tube and is marked on the map with a yellow star. You must use your imagination more now to get the full effect. Stage 1: A "treasure chest" is hidden along the beach where it washed ashore during a storm surge. Inside the chest you'll find a "treasure map" along with some "treasure" that you can trade for. Sign the log and take a map to guide you to... Stage 2: One of the Treasure Coast's true historic treasures.(There's also a map in the gallery to follow if the maps are missing) Even without the stunning bird's eye view of the Indian River this location is a gem. From this altitude you should be able to easily spy the location of Stage 3:"message in a bottle" down below - Why is this area called "The Treasure Coast"?... The Treasure Coast (Martin and St. Lucie counties, sometimes Indian River) refers to the tons of treasure left at the ocean’s bottom by ships sunk in storms or other calamities. Of special interest was the treasure left by the 1715 “Plate Fleet,” which sank in a hurricane. “Plate” is a distortion of plata, the Spanish word for “silver." Have a blast along our Treasure Coast as you enjoy this beautiful area!
