This cache is placed on the edge of Witham's Howbridge Estate, the smallest of three estates constructed in the late 1950's to accommodate people moving out of London after World War Two. The estate itself was built to house the then middle classes, evident by many having a "servants entrance,” often right next to the front door! Whilst most are now privatly owned Howbridge remains a fine example of council estate planning at the time, with its wide open spaces and a mixture of large family terraces to bungalows.
The cache itself is placed just on the edge of the beautiful Witham River Walk, visible clearly to the north, and is situated amongst a small group of impressive looking trees that give you a good chance to relax on a warm summers day.
Stealth required as the corner is frequented by dog walkers and passing muggles on a regular basis. Please obscure again once found.
