 The largest crater lake in Europe we are on the Alajärvi-Vimpeli border, at cache 59. The area is swampy on both sides.

 The Viper (Vipera berus) is the northernmost snake species in the world and the most common venomous snake in Europe. It can be seen in other places in the Lake-Ostrobothnia region, especially on the south side of Lake Lappajärvi near the Pyhävuori. It is said that snakes avoid places with lots of ants. Who knows.. the best thing is to keep your boots on and your snake kit in your pocket, and to be sure stamp on the ground as you go.

 Euroopan suurin kraatterijärvi ympäri-kierroksella olemme Alajärvi-Vimpeli rajalla, kätköllä 59. Alue on suota molemmin puolin.

 Kyykäärme (Vipera berus) on maailman pohjoisin käärmelaji ja Euroopan yleisin myrkkykäärme. Sitä näkee Järvi-Pohjanmaan alueella toisin paikoin, varsinkin Lappajärven eteläpuolella Pyhävuoren kupeella. Sanotaan, että kyyt välttelevät paikkoja, joissa on paljon muurahaisia. Tiedä tuota, paras pitää saappaat jalassa ja kyypakkaus taskussa ja varmuuden vuoksi tömistellä mennessään.
