Geocache Description:

Bush Wander Letterbox.

This cache has been placed in the beautiful Boden Water Race area of the Ross Creek State Forest.
The walk to find the letterbox is placed with kids and designed to be as kid friendly as possible therefore it is only about a 700m return walk from the start.

To get the full Letterbox style experience you can do it the following way. Included is GPSr instructions as well to make it easier. You will need to know how to project a waypoint with your GPSr or smartphone. Probably a good idea to research this before attempting this letterbox.

Start at the information sign at the initial coordinates. There is a nice car park there.
Standing at the information sign face the white marker post with an arrow on it. This is the start of the trail.
Including this post you need to follow the trail in a westerly direction until you reach the SIXTH post and then stop. (The coordinates for the post are included in the additional waypoints) If you want to use your GPSr for this then project a waypoint with a direction of 309 degrees for 276 meters.

Once at this post you are going off trail into the bush to find the geocache ground zero.
Project a Waypoint from this marker post at a direction of 229 degrees for 97 meters. If you are not entirely sure how to project a waypoint then you are going hard left off the trail for 97 meters, so the opposite direction to the creek and straight towards the water race up the hill (there is a coordinate for GZ in the additional coordinates).

Just before you reach Ground Zero for the Geocache you will cross over the Water Race. You are looking for a tree with a hollow in its base to find the container. At the time of placing in June we saw a lot of different fungi along the walk. There are lots of wildflowers in warmer months.
