This cache is placed at Anderson Dean Park, just North of Harrodsburg, on 127, just past the bypass. There is a caution light at the entrance to the park. This is a lovely park, with several different sports facilities, including frisbee golf, volley ball, basketball, tennis, soccer, skateboard place and baseball/softball, and more. There is also a nice 2 ¼ mile walking and biking trail and outdoor swimming pool. They have several pavilions and playgrounds. There are some other unique things like a playground for children with disabilities, and a monarch butterfly garden, and they are continually adding things.
The office is located on the top of the hill, near the big white barn. It is in the historical Thomas Logan house, which is one of the first brick houses built in Mercer County, built around 1795. This park is a great place to observe some very spectacular sunsets! So far I have placed one other cache here, and I plan to place several more. There is also one older cache, “Go for the Goal” placed by Mad-K, in a great spot. I hope you enjoy the caches and the very historical area.
The place in the cache container for the log is small, so BYOP
