DB (one half of Catapocalypse) especially loves this particular location - she was here once as a child when the Ashbridge family still owned the property. This is a great example of how urbanization creeps up on us... the Ashbridge's owned most of what is now southern East York for almost 100 years. As the city of Toronto grew, their farm and lands got smaller and smaller until this parcel of land was all they had left. Now their historic home and property is owned by the Ontario Heritage Trust and preserved for generations to come. A very cool fact; the land was cleared in the 1790's and the Ashbridge's owned this property for over 200 years, longer than any other family in the history of Toronto.
The cache is a nano so please bring a pen. There is a bus stop near by so stealth is needed at times and would be appreciated so that other cachers can enjoy a find in this location. Also note that the parklands are not private property.
