This free museum reflects the interests and passions of some local residents.  Here you can see race cars driven by Winston Cup legends such as Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and Dale Jarrett. In addition, you will find items associated with country music artists such as Hank Williams Jr., Tim McGraw, Wynona Judd, and LeAnn Rimes.

Notable cars located in the museum include the #2 Wrangler car that Dale Earnhardt drove in his first Winston Cup Championship and the #43 car that Richard Petty drove for his 199th Winston Cup win.

Images of popular recording artists cover the museum’s walls and also appear on the hoods of some of the cars.  Also on display are gold records and autographed posters of country and pop superstars.

In December, 2014, the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame relocated to this museum in Kannapolis.  This resulted in some of the cars being relocated to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.
