Geocache Description:

You'd be forgiven for thinking this cache was about British airways considering the name and proximity to the airport, and If you watch the planes come and go at this great plane spotting location you very well might see a BA aircraft. Children will love watching the planes come and go here if the runway is in use when you visit (this seems to be one of the more regularly used runways). But this cache isnt about british airways it is about Bosco B.A Baracus from The A Team.

BA Baracus was terrified of flying and I think this place would give him Nightmares after his crash landing on a military cargo plane. He really hated flying expescially when Murdoch was the pilot and would say things like "I ain't getting on no plane fool" Because of this fear the rest of The A Team would have to trick BA to get him onto a plane. The Cache is hidden just off the side of a quite public road that closely follows the perimeter of Dublin Airport. The roads at the back of the airport regularly have cars parked up watching the planes landing and taking off. This road is no exception so you should not cause to much suspicion parking up to grab the cache Obiously stealth should still be used in the actual searching and retrieving of the cache. It's possible to pull in right at GZ for a park and grab. The cache and the location should make for a good experience for children but the accompanying adults should be mindful of its road side location and they assume full responsibility for the kids and their own safety. Please take note where you retrieve the cache and replace exactly where found. Open cache gently and close gently as lid is fragile.  Standing at cache if you head back to the roundabout and take the left turn off it (first exit) there's a red gate with 14 on it a few hundred feet away. Parking opposite this gate 14 (you can see it from the cache it's really close) is a great place for the planes to low fly directly overhead once the runway lights are on and its in use. Planes land every few minutes here so you won't have to wait long and you can almost reach up and touch them as they fly overhead. You may also see airport fire and police cars patrolling in the airport grounds and they often get out to fire flare guns Into the air to frighten off birds that get in the way of the airspace over the runway.  If this runway isn't in action at the time ( they are wind direction dependant) follow the road the cache is on in the opposite direction away from the roundabout all the way around the bend and past the Boot Inn Pub to the end of the road. Here you will find another runway which probably offers the best experience of all the runways for low fly overs as planes land. This runway is rarely in use but if the one at GZ isn't there's a good chance this one will be. Again the runway lights will indicate if its in use and if it is you won't have to wait long as planes land every few minutes here as well when it's in action. As BA would say I pitty the fool that brings no pen.
