Both Aston Tirrold and Cholsey were part of Berkshire until 1974 when the county boundary changes transferred both villages to Oxfordshire.
This simple cache has been placed close to the path on the walk from one village to the other. The walk follows an ancient trackway and has no gradient to speak of. An easily managed walk for all ages at the foot of the Berkshire downs. The cache has been placed to help keep the footpath in use. Please enjoy the surrounding countryside and look out for a variety of wildlife.
At the GZ please take care when stepping down into the ditch. The area can be muddy in winter.
