For Signal's next stop Canada, our own jesuiscanadienne has graciously offered to host a Potluck BBQ at her house and celebrate Canada Day with her and her family!
When: Saturday, July 1st from 5pm - Dark
Where: The owners of cache Canada - Creosote Junction. Coords are for the cache but the cache is at their front of their gate. Find the cache, find the location! .Since GPS devices can be tricky, I will send those that log a Will Attend directions!
What to Bring: Sides, drinks or deserts for a BBQ. Meat and Buns will be provided. Be creative and bring food that's red and white or maple flavored! Fireworks are also welcome as long as they are legal. They have requested no sparklers.
What you'll Get: A full belly and a souvenir for attending the event. This souvenir is only available by attending a Where is Signal offical event held either on July 1st or 2nd. Finding a cache on this day or attending a CITO event will NOT give you the souvenir. Also there is always the chance of prizes!
About the Event: The national day of Canada is celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867 which united three colonies into a single country called Canada within the British Empire. The holiday was originally called Dominion Day and it was the day when Constitution Act was created. This is their 150th Year celebration!
Please log your "Will Attend" as well as what dish you'll be bringing so people will know how much food to bring!
The meats and buns will be provided so sides and drinks are welcome! Make them themed with Red and White or Maple flavored!
