Geocache Description:

Le Gymnase est un équipement phare du quartier du Grand Large, vaste opération de reconquête urbaine réalisée sur l’ancien site des Chantiers de France, fermés en 1987.
Inaugurée en 2010, cette vaste salle de sport de 3000 m2 se caractérise par sa grande façade de briques héritée de l’ancien atelier d’ajustage des chantiers navals de Dunkerque.

Le Gymnase du Grand Large

The Gymnasium is a flagship piece of the Grand Large district, a vast operation of urban reconquest carried out on the former Chantiers de France site, closed in 1987. Inaugurated in 2010, this vast gym of 3000 m2 is characterized by its large brick facade inherited from the former fitting workshop of the Dunkirk shipyards.
