The Bailey bridge is a type of portable, pre-fabricated, truss bridge. It was developed by the British during World War II for military use and saw extensive use by British, Canadian and the American military engineering units.
In Israel, the British and Israeli armies built numerous Bailey bridges, mainly over Jordan river and also over the Yarkon.
Some are still in use.
There is even a song by Yehoram Gaon about such a bridge, here's a youtube link => גשר אלנבי - יהורם גאון
This bridge, Ussishkin bridge, named after the nearby street, was built by the IDF in 1965 before the IDF parade. However in 1999 this temporary bridge was finally removed and in its place was built a fixed metal bridge emulating the structure of a Bailey bridge.
Note the special patterns of hearts and star of david.
About the cache:
It is on the bridge, east side.
Magnetic micro tube, not visible from any angle, you will need to feel for it VERY CAREFULLY so not to drop it to the river.
Above the water, a little south of middle of bridge. Hopefully the little X mark in the photo will survive.
