Geocache Description:

Drumtochty Forest.Flat wide woodland paths some steep at times. There are quite high drops along some of the path areas so please watch if you have younger family or dogs. Points of intrest in the area Drumtochty castle. St Palladius church on the roadside and the Drumtochty Sitka.Opposite the car park. It is one of the biggest Sitka Spruce trees in Scotland


This is the lower path and a lot less strenuous for walking along (nae hills). Can be muddy in parts and runs alongside the burn ,easy access from the car park (North Drumtochty). this path will lead you along to another set of caches set out by a fellow cacher wink.

The shillelagh (shi lay lee) was originally used for settling disputes in a gentlemanly manner — like a duel with pistols or swords also used as a walking stick. How difficult is it to find a stick in these wooded parts devil.

No room for swaps pencil and tweezers recommended cache is no longer attatched to the shillelagh and can be found underneath
