By attending this CITO, you will also receive the Canada Day souvenir on your profile.
We will start and end at The Haydon Centre (adjacent to the Parish Council offices) where toilets are available and hot drink & other vending machines. There is also plenty of car-parking here and at the supermarket over the road.
These waypoints give a few ideas for green areas to focus on, including:
Waypoint 1: King George V field – a very popular play park and green space. Dogs are not allowed in here (except for next Saturday when the dog show will be taking place).
Waypoint 2: Rex Barnet Walk – a footpath and cycle way used for getting to school or work and bordered by care home and retirement housing. A great place to gather conkers in the autumn.
Waypoint 3: Pond Street – a quiet, tree-lined lane which turns into a footpath and Seven Fields Nature Reserve. Popular with dog walkers and there are play parks just off Pond Street every 500m or so.
The parish council has provided refuse bags, bag hoops and some litter sticks. Please bring your own gloves and litter pickers if you have any.
