Signal Celebrates Canada 150 at Esquimalt's Gorge Park!


Background Header

Come and meet Signal the Frog™ (for real!!) and earn a Canada 150 Souvenir on your geocaching profile!


Sunday July 2nd from 11am to 1pm


Bring your picnic blanket and join in the family fun as Signal Celebrates Canada 150 at Gorge Park in Esquimalt. New cachers are especially welcome! We'll have some student GPS's loaded with easy nearby geocaches for any general public that want to know what it's all about. 


Signal the Frog™ will be in attendance!


This is not a stuffed toy, but the REAL THING! Signal will be visiting from his Lily Pad at Geocaching.com HQ for photos and he can be 'discovered'

Food: Hamburgers, hotdogs and beverages available for purchase from the Esquimalt Lions

Activities: We will have some games but you're welcome to bring your favorite outdoor family-friendly games too!

Official Welcome to Esquimalt: Welcome remarks by Mayor Barb Desjardin at 11am sharp

Dogs: An off leash area is available adjacent to the event venue

Swimming: Gorge Waterway is safe for swimming! Please note there is no supervision nor lifeguards on duty.

Nature House: The Nature House will be open (10:00 - 4:00) and will have cold drinks and frozen treats should anyone want a break from the heat or if you want to check out some local nature info!

Prizes: There will be Prizes for Activities plus there will be a small Beaver Dude/Canada 150 gift for all kids 12 and under in attendance. 

Canada 150 goodies: Geocaching.com trackables related to Canada 150 will be available to purchase.
