Midwesterners might be the most friendliest folks in all the land while a hunter is defined as someone who is looking for a particular type of thing. Midwesthunter has too many positive qualities to list here so I won't bore you with those. What I can tell you is that he is very friendly and is always looking for things! Ok Ok I'll add just a few more qualities I guess. MWH is a very devoted father who taxis, I mean drives, his kids to all of their functions/jobs/appointments no matter what he has going on. He is a very dedicated employee who never misses a day (unless he's skipping work to cache that is). I remember a group of us were pretty bummed he couldn't endure The Iron Man series with us back in March of this year. He's always willing to meet up to hunt down a cache or tackle a tough Bears hide. Midwesthunter burst on the geocaching scene in mid April of 2016. In just 8 months time he accumulated 459 finds. Also during that time he began his quest for finding at least one cache per day. 365 consecutive days of geocaching is a goal that only the very determined geocachers reach for. My family and I were lucky enough to join Mr. MWH on June 3rd 2017 for his 365th consecutive day (GC1FPYT). Note: As I'm writing this ole MWH is currently on 370 days! When will it end?? A little over a month after his 1 year anniversary Midwesthunter left Davenport on a solo mission to Backbone State Park, IA to hunt down a very special Goldfinch (GC162). On May 28th 2017 he logged in #1,000! This cache is a tribute cache in honor of the one and only Midwesthunter! Way to go Todd keep up the good work! West Lake Park is a 620 acre facility offering four lakes for fishing and/or swimming. A boat dock, parking lot, handicap fishing dock, beach area, and paddle boat rentals are available for the water enthusiast. For the landlubbers - the park offers picnic facilities, playground areas, modern restrooms and two campground areas with electrical, water, and/or sewer hook-ups. Both camping areas have handicap accessible comfort stations. Easy to locate parking with an easy scenic walk to the cache.
