Geocache Description:

Quick P&G with an interesting history

The place where you stand used to be a rather large sinkhole.  Sylacauga is riddled with them. This town is built atop a rich vein of pure white marble.  Also underneath our soil, underground water sources. Sinkholes crop up often in this area. Back in the early 1990's,  this exact spot, plus two of the now retail locations, were just big holes in the ground. The place where this cache is located has fallen in, been filled and repaired, twice since I can remember. Don't worry, it's quite secure now!

Congrats WFD142 on FTF!

The infamous sink hole is trying to come back. The original host is destroyed so I’ve moved it about 40 ft to the SE on a pole. Bison tube.
