Geocache Description:

Join us for a picnic at Hibernia Park. We have Hibernia pavilion #2 at the posted coordinates all day. There is parking and restrooms nearby. Log book will be available by noon but you are welcome to use the pavilion at any time. Park hours are 8am to sunset.

S.E.A.R.C.H. is the group Michael named. We are the SouthEastern Area Roving Geocache Hunters. Hibernia Park is a Chester County park with a lot of trails, fishing, beautiful Chambers Lake, a historic mansion, picnic facilities and many existing geocaches, including several placed by HLHS-TX Kid.

NOTE: This is NOT the same pavilion as previous years; Fiddler's Picnic has taken over the north part of Hibernia Park this week. We are in Pavilion #2, just southeast of the Mansion.

There will be a new 2-1/2 mile Geo trail starting at the Mansion going along the Lake Trail and back to the pavilion with lots of new caches. If not published on time, the coordinates will be available at the pavilion by 11am. Trail is fully shaded, wide open and is a beautiful walk, so please plan a couple of hours for a nice walk before or after lunch!

There will be BBQ meats available from 12:30 to 2pm. Drawings for door prizes will be held at 2 pm. HLHS-Tx Mom and Dad will provide our meats and buns, hoagies and Mrs.Hoagie will provide the pavilion and paper goods. No donation required.

Please bring a food item to share. Email the COs (Mrs.Hoagie and HLHS-TX Kid) with what you intend to bring so we can have a good mix of food. Suggestions: fruits, salads, chips or other munchies, desserts, sodas or water (no alcohol permitted in the park). I'll keep an updated list on this site so you know what is coming and what might still be needed.

Here is the link for the trail map for the park. There are lots of great trails. The Hibernia Mansion is open for tours on Sundays, or you can walk around the house and peer into some of the windows.

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park, so please do not bring any.
