The Fountains (thefountains.cn) and nearby Fu Li Cheng is the site of this "Geocaching 101" event. We will run a 30 minute seminar on everything you need to know to get started, and attendees will have plenty of practice right away "on the field" as there are six caches within walking distance. ALSO, everyone will get an official Geocaching souvenir for Canada Day. After the event, in the evening there will be a Canada Day/US Independence Day/Summer BBQ celebration open to all.
Fishercacher from Virginia shared his "Geocaching 101" powerpoint which we will adapt to China for a lively presentation of how to start out in the hobby. The Fountains is an ideal spot to learn because there are three experienced Geocachers who live here and six caches within walking distance. We invite anyone who is ready to learn to join us. We also have much to do for experienced cachers as we would like to send out the attendees with an experienced helper. After the 30 minute presentation, we will hit the field and enjoy the caches at The Fountains and in nearby Fu Li Cheng. The event is on the day of a Canada Day/Independence Day/Summer BBQ celebration with food, water fun, sports and music. There will be a shuttle pick up from Metro line 3, BaiYun DaDao Bei (3-24), at 3:00 (Exit A2). The event will start at 3:00 with a social time (presentation to start when the shuttle arrives).
