Geocache Description:

This Cache overlooks the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. It is not in the park. You must hike up a hill. Ignore No trespassing signs on road. I talked to the Water District, who would be the only one able to restrict access, because they have an easement to the tank, and they said they only restrict at the fence surrounding the tank. That fence is up the hill next to the tank.

***NOTE-Please only hike on roads as described-THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY-Respect it!*** Off Hiway 62 in Joshua Tree, turn South on Park Avenue. This will change names to Quail Springs Road. Stop at the dirt road (N34 05.604 W116 16.138)on your right and park. Don't drive up the road, since it will dead end and turning is difficult. You can see a water reservoir and a small dark brown building on the hill. The cache is located on the hill to the left, up from the brown building. Follow the road up to the white building, but just before, head up the shoulder of the hill. When you arrive, look to your left at a large rock with bird "doo-doo". Left in cache: Logbook & pen camera Pez dispenser die cowboys & indians US flag glitter body lotion bottle of water
