This cache is part of the Heritage Tree Geocache Series, made in collaboration with the Portland State University History Department and Urban Forestry.

This cache is just one of many Geocaches placed around the metropolitan area to help spread the word about Portland's Heritage Tree Program which celebrates some of the area's grandest trees, some of which of witnessed important historical events.
