Geocache Description:

It attracts muggles...and flying blood suckers. I'm not actually enforcing that rule but the container's labelling says it will if you somehow manage to squeeze yourself into it and get the latch closed. (Well, that's what the original container said but the same thing applies to the new one.)

I've had this container for a while. It was another Bah Humbug Day present. I finally got it put somewhere. The somewhere is (hopefully) another vacant spot in Art Van Atta Park.

This is not a PnG. Do not pull off the road near the cache. That would be illegal and the woods might keep you in them too long to get away with it.

I parked at the end of Benchwood Dr. and took the paved trail there. Then I walked down the trail and ghswhacked off of it to look for a Spot. I didn't find one. (I did find a dirty golf ball but I forgot to put it in the cache.) I ended up ghswhacking back to the trail farther down the hill. Yup, there's a hill you have to go down. If I were you, I'd skip that ghswhacking part and just head down the trail from Benchwood until it turns right to parallel the park's main road. Stop following the trail at that point. Follow your electronic playmate across the road. Be careful doing that and then go into the woods when she says to. You shouldn't have to go real far into them.

You aren't looking for anything dinky. I've seen caches smaller than this one called Regulars but I'm not a big fan of size-inflation. (And recently looking at a bottle of apple juice in my refrigerator, it's actually around twice as big as the size unit that I estimated to the reviewer.)

I put some swag in there but I of course again forgot to put a writing utensil in it.

Please try to cover it up as best you can.

The park closes at dusk. If the infernal ball of heat isn't up there, you shouldn't be in there.

A Note About Travel Items for People Who May Not Be Familiar With Them

In addition to trade items (commonly known as "swag"), geocaches quite often contain travel bugs or geocoins. These items are not for general trading. They are "travel items." They are the property of other people and their goal is to be taken from one cache by geocachers and then placed in other caches, i.e., to travel from cache to cache. There are two types of travel items, travel bugs and geocoins. These items must be logged separately from logging the find for the geocache. There's a "special process" for that. A travel bug is usually some type of trinket (such as a small stuffed animal) with what looks like a dog tag attached to it. Sometimes it's just the dog tag. Either way, the dog tag will have a string of letters or numbers on it. Geocoins will also have such a string imprinted on or engraved into them. That string is called the "tracking number." It is important for logging the travel item as it's retrieved from and placed in geocaches. Please watch out for such items and do not take them if you don't intend on helping them travel to another geocache or do not wish to learn the logging procedure.
